Aug. 25th, 2013 11:26 amFires are burning and guess where all the smoke is going? Reno's air quality has been compared to Beijing. Yeah, we're giving heavily polluted China a run for its money.
Most of the smoke is coming from the Rim Fire over in CA.
I'm not having any trouble breathing and no grief from my contact wearing eyes. Other people aren't so lucky. It's making some miserable or flat out sick.
The hazy fog is frickin ugly (usually have clear and vivid blue skies). Smells like a 24/7 barbeque. Heavy downpour of rain earlier in the week cleared things up for one day then the smoke came back with a vengeance.
Weird ruddy glow at sunset used to be cool. Really gotten old now.
