Apr. 17th, 2013 06:56 pmLike other people on the FL, my area is going thru "Winter in Spring". Yesterday, a mourning dove had parked itself on the ground in the middle of the backyard. Sometimes they like to roost on the ground, especially in morning sun patches. Was hanging out there, when major snow flurries came in. Dove refused to budge. 10 minutes go by, still flurries, bird won't go.
Watching the dove, I had a feeling the thought going thru its head was "Fuck this shit".
It wasn't hurt or anything, either. I started to go outside and check cause of the protest sit-in going on for so long and, by then, the flurries well over and done with. Just started sliding back the screen door, dove flew off.
"Early spring", my ass, stupid groundhog.
