zimon66I did a little html to make the following repost from another person's journal stand out, especially a you-need-to-see-this part (for those unclear, the "his" refers to putler).
I sent a message to support asking if LJ would be available to those outside of Russia Friday and got this reply:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
We don't have any information on any planned Internet service restrictions.
In any situation, we will do everything in our power to keep LiveJournal
accessible to all of its users all over the world.

From personally working with the Russian staff at LJ, I take them at their word and believe them. They will do what they can; but of course, if they can't they can't. They are good people.
This very IMPORTANT bit of info came up in the thread:
actually LJ is the site where his political opponents speak out. Remember in, I think 2011? The site was under constant DDS attacks because there were essentially puppet elections going on in Russia. Then the next election cycle the same thing happened.
