On the way home from work, get to where I hang a left. At the end of that street I'm facing, see police and crowd. Shrug, make the turn and head home, thinking must be a car accident out on the main road. Which sort of explains the ambulance parked some ways from what's going on. But why aren't they're right there on the scene with everybody else...that's weird. Hmm, better check local news.

Wasn't an accident. Some dickwad called in a hoax to 911.

This happened a block from where I live.

Dickwad better hope the cops find him before I do. Pulling shit with 911 isn't funny. Somewhere out there, somebody probably actually needed help and may not have gotten it in time all because of dickwad's dumbass joke.

Not only that, but someone could have ended up shot by police. (I realize they don't just march in there with guns blazing in a hostage situation, but still.)

(From newscaster) The poor guy said his wife is trying to laugh if off. From the time stamp, it didn't long to resolve things. What I saw was probably reassuring/questioning crowd.

Innocent People traumatized, traffic rerouted, emergency services' time and money wasted, etc.,. I hope dickward gets jail time for this.
