Torturing the Spectran
Oct. 7th, 2003 12:14 amThere's next to nothing of good pics of Spectra Soldiers online - most of them involve getting the crap beaten out of them by G-Force. Others are not flattering, screen captures done while they're moving in a odd manner, side-shots (judging from what I've seen, the mask is hard to draw from that angle and usually doesn't look good and mouths hanging open.
My system is too old to do dvds and thus my own screen captures so it was much online searching I found a total of two half-way decent pics. One I got from a now gone anime screen capture site the other from here -
http://www.assortedweirdness.com/weirdmain.html
I never used the second one because the color wasn't quite right in it so after having for dunno how long deleted and didn't think twice about until now.
Got sick of the one I was using in here, the damn flash from his machine gun created a halo on his middle - because he was bent over while shooting, looked as if he was being suckered punch by a killer will-o-wisp. Most of his gun was cropped out so hard to tell why he's stooped over in the first place even if there wasn't a flash/halo/killer will-o-wisp.
So went back just now to the already mentioned link, went to the "Battle of the Planets
#8 The Fearful Sea Anemone" review, got the image and spent the last 30 minutes cropping and resampling the poor guy in numerous ways to fit into LJ's 100x100 pic size requirement and still keep enough detail.
Came out pretty damn good, even if his uniform color is a bit off (not my screen capture, so not my fault).
Deleted the previous Spectran and now got this one taking his place:)
