Money, money, money or I'm Freeeeeeee?
May. 21st, 2023 05:57 pmAfter two years, LJ's no longer giving extensions to paid accounts cause of the Ukraine Wars. Gotta pay now. Unfortunately, the pay system is not working properly. My account may switch to a freebee one on May 29th if LJ Support doesn't get back to me and resolve the issue before then.
I've been paying for this account since first created it back when the the only other way to get into LJ Land without paying was to score a token from somebody.
Surreal end to an era. I'll miss having the gold star status of my own layout choice along with the add-ons acquired over these many years to icons - think the icons were the main reason why kept paying. Had 65, now reduced to the alotted to free 15 just in case.
At least I'll still be here.
EDIT: More I think about it, maybe going with a free account might be an ok thing to do. Never made polls, barely used the Scrapbook and or posted pics to posts, got an ad blocker, I'm only one who looked at my Links list, for all I know the journal layout had for the majority of this time maybe one that free account can access. Time will tell.
