zimon66LJ was wonky for over 24 hours on my end. Real joy trying to log-in and not getting anywhere fast. "Session timed outed", "Site maybe busy and or experiencing technical problems", "Gremlins are running amuck", "Cats and dogs living together".
Recently watched:
Apartment Zero - I wanted to like this, but something rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe the running time was a little too long. Maybe it was Colin Firth's bad hairdo. Maybe it was my comparing the other guy to Rick Springfield (other guy looks like a seedy version of RS) every two minutes. Maybe it was the constant "Hey look! Eccentric neighbors!". Maybe it was accidentally turning on the director's commentary and not being able to shut the damn thing off without having to completely restart the dvd. Maybe I was in too crabby of a mood.
All the Colors of the Dark - This has got to be one of the weirdest giallo's I've ever seen.
Stoned - I forget how exactly the conversation went between Mom and me. I mentioned Steven Adler (former Guns&Roses drummer) drug problems, how he lost his looks and other things cause of drugs. Pretty sad; such a cute, talented guy (who's just a year older than me) got so washed-up. Mom brought up this movie about Brian Jones. Pretty sad; such a cute, talented guy (who's just three years older than Mom) got so washed-up and then dead.
Thesis - Came out three years before 8mm. This is the movie that (quote Wikipedia) 8mm is loosely based on (Read; Skip the Nicholas Cage version).
Last Summer - Not NetFlix. I saw this recently on TMC. Great movie, hope I NEVER meet Sandy. Someday, will get my mitts on the Evan Hunter books ("Last Summer" and sequel "Come Winter").
