The heat is GONE!!! Dropped to 90 - high 80's. It feels so damn good not to be sweating up a storm (while sitting still) and basting in my own salty lake.

Even rained too a few days ago. None of the usual "make it muggy as hell; rain for only 2 seconds". It was a proper downfall.

Like this being comfortable without a close in proximity fan's help. I hope it lasts for the rest of the summer.


Meanwhile: Burning Man is next week and, once again like clockwork, burners from all over (i.e. The World) are descending on the area. Due to, among other things, having a preference for indoor plumbing and no interest in getting sandblasted 24/7 (the winds are intense out on the playa), I'm just too square to participate in this kind of jazz. I'm fine with the knowledge of something interestingly cool is going down over 100 miles north of Reno. Plus got the power of imagination and the Internet, can always pretend participate whenever I feel like it.

Wait... Burning Man is next weekend? I had a customer in the shop 2 weeks ago who wanted pretty much a case of lube for Burning Man but we didn't have enough in stock. I offered to order it for him but he said he was leaving on Sunday. He must be walking out there!

We had a few nice days here in the Mid Atlantic, (I even turned off the A/C! Great sleeping weather!).

But going to be a hot weekend! I don't mind the heat too much, I'd rather have this then have to shovel snow!).

I watched a documentary on Burning Man awhile ago. Interesting.
