Want winter to be over and done with!!! I feel like doing nothing but hibernating which is odd because it's been a warm winter here in Reno. Not much snow or coldness for most of it and it's currently raining (at this time of year???!!!!).

Meanwhile, got 3 more *Hellsing doujinshis off of eBay (this includes the one was REALLY wanting) - VERY MUCH looking forward to these coming in the mail because the Valentine Brothers are in them!!! Even better, none are hentai - not that I mind sex-comics but seeing Seras getting banged by a variety of characters in a number of ways gets old fast.

Still haven't sat down and worked on translating. Did do a little "figuring out of Hiragana" but nothing worth reporting on - LOL!!! From what I already know, the Japanese language is going to be loads of "fun" to deal with. Just getting the words into English is only maybe half the battle - there then is sounding out of English mish-mash into actual words and working them into understandable order in a sentence. Think - backwords Dr. Suess with a mouth full of marbles and tripping on acid - LOL!!!

Must go eat now or may start chewing on the keyboard - LOL!!!

*The titles of the 3 Hellsing doujinshis -

1)"Nightmare Garden 1&2" - this is the one I wanted so damn bad!!! It's one of the more popular titles and has been reprinted a few times. Going to do a future post with a link to the artist/author's (Omega 2-D) site.

2)"Green-Eyed Monster" - from what I could tell from the page scan and cover/title, Seras's is jealous of Alucard and she (dressed in her Master's get-up) fights with Luke Valentine (I hope for his sake it ends differently and instead of becoming dogfood get's maybe a smooch from Seras instead).

3)"Kill Two Birds With One Stone" - the page scan had the Valentine Brothers in what looks like some sort of "Odd Couple" set-up.

hiragana and katakana are pretty easy to figure out if you use flash cards to memorize and practice reading and writing from some children's exercise book or something. Should take a week to get each down. As for kanji though.. that'll be a little more difficult.

well with kanji, the most important thing is to practice reading a writing the basic stuff PROPERLY (proper stroke order and all that).. because once you write properly it makes searching for the kanji in the dictionary a buttload easier and faster.. don't expect to be able to read kanji fluently.. just enough for the basics and lookup... and in many anime/manga the same kanji are used over and over again.
