One shot down!

zimon66It was Pfizer! Mom got that one and had almost no reaction to both shots. Dad got Moderna, suffered the chills on the second shot for 24 hours. Sister got Moderna - which is weird because she's a RN, you'd think a nurse would have gotten Pfizer - she also suffered flu-like effects on the second shot for 24 hours.
Based on genetics, fingers crossed I take after my Mom for that second Pfizer dose.
Anyway, first shot went fine. Arm a bit stiff for a little while. The process from start to finish went quick. The online registration appointment took about 5 minutes. Vaccine Day: next to no wait line, pharmacy went over the info, gave me printed info (side-effects, signing up for V-Safe, blah, blah, blah) stuck me in a little cubical, stuck me with a barely felt needle, stuck me in cordoned off spot in view of the pharmacy for about 15 minutes in case of bad reaction. After obviously surviving, sent off on my merry way. Took a grand total of 20 minutes.
I wandered around WalMart for about an hour. Picked up a few things, one of which a new toilet seat. They last a long time, but eventually show wear from use. It also one of those embarrassing purchases. Buying it a WalMart helped cut-down on that some, because, hello, WalMart. Still felt like Jim Gaffigan when he bought his wife a gift at Victoria's Secret (at 7:25 mark). WalMart doesn't have carry baskets. The hauling choices are 1) shopping cart, and 2) yourself and or some other human. I'm holding stuff in one arm and the other has the toilet seat by the helpful packaging's included handle ("Me and my toilet seat..."). Thanks to the helpful packaging's handle, it didn't get bagged. However, other stuff got bags, used them to kinda camouflage.
Now for everybody else to get onboard (for the vaccine, not toilet seats). Really don't want to spend another Summer at work in a mask.
