zimon66Releasing the Hellsing manga every other month bloody well sucks - this wait since #1 until the middle of March is getting to be too much!!!
It's this "waiting" that drove me into Hellsing doujinshis and eBay - took the edge off for awhile but now I'm jonsing BAD for a Valentine Brothers fix.
Maybe the writer of the first ever Valentine Brothers fanfic (which by the way is so FUNNY!!!) over on http://www.fanfiction.net/ will update soon????!!!!!

I've bitched to <lj=user q_slash> about the Valentines having a life way before they attacked Hellsing but almost nobody writing about it. WHY???!!!! So much fertile ground to play on there since their past is pretty vague - maybe the manga will inspire a few to take a chance. In the meantime, <lj site="livejournal.com" user="q_slash"> and I are acting on our frustrations with the overall lack of Valentine fics - LOL!!!
*Assuming you mean "Werewolves" as "soldiers" not actual werewovles* - no, I can't see Luke and Yan being "Werewolves". While they are damn good at being quick and efficant killers, neither are anywhere near ruthless enough to be a "Were". They NEED a good reason to kill - for example, Hellsing was a potential threat to them it had to be dealt with or the Valentines would be hunted/killed. If Hellsing wasn't a threat to them, would have left the organization alone - if there isn't a reason to fight/kill, then why do it. Killing is business and is to be done as a last resort.
If either of those guys was driving and a little kid ran out in front of the car, would swerve to avoid hitting the kid.
Schrodinger, on the otherhand, probably would run the kid over because it got in his way why the hell should he have to move - not his problem if the stupid brat wasn't taught "street smarts". Murder can be fun:)
Alucard could have been a Werewolf too - Luke goes down into the basement it's serious business to him wants to get it done and over with as quickly as possible. Alucard treats it all as fun. When Luke realizes he's way in over his head, tries to do a quick exit, but Alucard is still in "gamemode" and is completly oblivious to Luke's panic and is happily dragging out the emotional/physical torture. When Alucard realizes what's happening, he turns into a very bad winner and really takes it out on Luke.
I find it funny that people are so quick to put Luke down (who was going to give Alucard a quick death) but overlook what Alucard did to him (a slow painful death). The Hellsing Vampire believes himself "above the trash" and yet stoops way below their level - I like to pretend that afterwards, he was telling Seras what happened (getting all off on the details of course) and she jumped on him for being such an a**hole (LOL!!!).

Hn, I don't think so. I haven't seen any evidence that proves both of them are so decent. They were part of a nazi group who aimed to cause a big war after all. No one inside those ranks can be oh so moral ;)

Date: Mar. 23rd, 2004 11:50 pm (UTC)Anyway, I had made-up a possible explanation for why Yan looks the way he does - The Valentine Family was mostly German but had a vein of Romani running thru it several generations. In Luke it only came out in his eyes (which are very dark) but Yan it was full-blown. So you can imagine how worried poor Luke was right after they arrived at the Camp, seeing the Nazi symbols, thinking "Oh no, my little brother is going to be dissected." - So Doc and his nephews got Gypsy in them , everybody knows it, and they're involved with Nazis, oh the twisted irony - LOL!!! Guess the Major was willing to look the other way since Doc was so important.
As for Yan's eyes - they were light hazel but the freakchip brought the gold out in them. Luke of course, his already pale skin was turned white.

And, if you adhere the Vlad Tepes theory, he used to hate arian people nor to mention he would have taken actions because his dear gypies were being eliminated. So I doubt it.

Hellsing did do things to pump-up his power (along with screwing with his gender at one point - LOL!!!) while Rip was (far as I know) not tinkered with by the Millenium Group.
