zimon66The weather has FINALLY settled down around here. If it wasn't snowing (yes, kept happening well after Spring sprung), freakin wind storms. Learned the hard about a decade ago, NOT to be online during bad weather: old surge protectors don't do squat against sudden power surge - if you haven't replaced yours in long awhile, GET NEW ONES ASAP!!! Had to get a new replacement for inside previous system, that brother-in-law installed. Took two weeks of waiting and no way of getting to another computer because of said storm and massive snow dump. Cell phones at the time were nothing like they are now. Being offline against your will is pretty unpleasant experience.
Grand total of snowfall: 35". Great for the ski resorts (open well into July) and the water supply/drought. But, I still HATE WINTER HERE!!! Wish was more like desert-desert with warmer Winters and all kinds of succulents and other type of actual desert plants able to grow here year round. No more freezing cold, ice, snow. Heard new water restrictions are in the near future for CA. Maybe an end to lush lawns and private pools. Gonna enjoy seeing the rich try to squirm their way out of paying hefty taxes and fines.
