Possible story intro for the "Yan & Jenni" fic -
Interviews were conducted in two-parts - part-one would be the usual going over the application info/Q&A with the person. Although Luke was always the one handling these, Yan would still sit-in.
They would all be in the Club's office - Luke sitting behind his desk, interviewee sitting in front of desk, both would be talking back and forth while Yan sat quietly off to the side of the room on the couch and listen. After part-one was done and the interviewee given the "Expect a call in a couple of days" send-off, Luke would then get feedback from the younger Valentine. After much comparing of notes and if the over-all result was positive, part-two was put into effect - the interviewee would come back and show the Valentines what they could/couldn't do.
Today's return interviewee was a girl trying out to be a dancer. She would show her moves in front of a small audience consisting of both Valentines, a few of the Club's dancers (only the female ones were included in part-two since potential dancers whether male or female would be nervous and it seemed trying out with females made them more comfortable), and a couple of bartenders. Luke would set-up/work the video camera while Yan DJed. Basically the way it work, Yan would take the girl's music list and play the selections along with throwing in some numbers of his choice to see how she handled/reacted to it - the other dancers would at some point jump in and dance with her then exit out, sometimes one sometimes all sometimes just dancing in unision or partering-up. There would be breaks inbetween the music set to show her some moves and see how well she did them. At some point Yan would partner-up with her to see if she was OK with f/m dancing, (interviewees had already met Yan who made a point of being polite and quiet around them in part-one so they would be at ease with him in part-two). There was also included how they reacted to/handled trouble customers - this role was played by the bartenders (whether male or female) - the interviewee would be given either and praise for how things were handled or some tips/advice on what best to do until Security/Bouncers (which Yan was in charge of) showed-up. Luke would record the whole session.
After part-two was done, interviewee was once again given the "Expect a call in a couple of days" send-off - the Valentines would then get feedback from the other employees before the two of them went and reviewed the tape.

is the club named? I keep wanting to call it Club M after that one Order. Stupid Order.
Hmm..I'm wondering if I can see Jenni as a dancer? Does she have a pride problem? or is it just not her style?
Eh...Yeah, she could prolly do it, with enough reason.
I've other thoughts, btu I don't wanna make em public.
I'm almost thinking we should start an LJ for writing this...and basically we could just edit post to add on to stuff, yaknow?
Or...what's your email addy?

Date: Mar. 22nd, 2004 09:24 pm (UTC)The Valentines run a good fetish club - got the general nights for people who just want a taste of the fetish scene but at the same time feel comfortable, basically it's nothing more than people playing "dress-up" dancing and socializing.
The "private parties" are for professionals who are given a safe place to play.
Whatever the night, security is present at all times - "No" means "No" and the use of safewords is strictly enforced. Anyone who looks as if they're going too far and or somebody looks to need help (not all victims of harassment can work up the nerve to put a stop to what's going on or even to say no) security immeadately steps in.
a lot of people want to dance at that club for a number of very good reasons -
1)pays well with benefits - also flexible schedualing, so if there's somebody working their way through college and or raising a kid.
2)"favors" to the bosses and or other employees is not done, same goes for "friendly man handling" (Unless both parties are willing). Anyone found to be demanding favors/ forcing another is in for a lot of trouble. Same applies to "friends" - don't care how damn "powerful" some ringleader is of whatever local "business ascocitation", it doesn't give them the right to demand favors and or manhandle staff.
3)Security doesn't allow harassment of any employee or patron of any sex.
4)for women - boob-job not needed, what's more like/prefer the natural look. This applies to overall appearence, so it's OK not to be "runway model" material. Guys don't have to be perfect either. Basically looking for fairly attractive people who know how to work it.
5) you've seen the outfits the dancers wore in the anime - it's sexy but still covering.
Hell yeah, she could do it - besides, being an employee would make a better reason to how she and Yan get to know one another. He's not going to make friends with a girl just met in a crowded noisy club, it would have to come about from frequent and regular meetings which as employees would run into one another before, during, and after work.
I dunno what to call the club - maybe "Your Bloody Valentines"?
Cripes, how the hell did a short Mary Sue fic turn into a epic novel? - LOL!!!
Maybe having a private LJ would be a good idea, be a lot easier adding/tweaking/etc., right there on the spot instead of fussing with a bunch of emails back and forth - but then again personal emails are far more private. I'll let you call it - whatever you pick I'll go with.
