Latest from "LJ Drama" about woman who paints with her menstrual blood.

I've heard of her, seen the LJ, and I'm neither impressed nor horrified by it all.

One of the comments however to this latest drama, made me laugh -
She has a whole “ritual” of collecting the blood in a “crystal goblet.”
The blood doesn’t give a fuck that it’s in your best china, okay?

Chalking-up my reaction to said comment as one of those, "You know you're a Hellsing fan...." moments - LOL!!!

Crystal goblet? A diva cup or a keeper would be less time-consuming.

I have other thoughts on it, but I don't want to gross anyone out.

I actually have a friend who paints with blood, but not menstrual blood. She just did an Alucard picture with some real blood for background. (She said it was just a little, and she didn't hurt herself. *shrug* She's been doing it for a while.)

I like the NEEDS. MORE. SHADING. person.

But honestly, that art isn't even good. I've got no issues with menstrual blood. (OK, the hell I don't.) But if you're going to use it, do something actually artistic with it.

You ever read Hideshi Hino's "Panorama of Hell"? - the guy in that put his own blood to canvas.

Got a great deal of fondness for this manga - it was the first one I ever bought (1989) and this was back when mangas didn't "exist". It was shelved with the other graphic novels which happens to be the about the same size of.

Goblets are pretty big and heavy, flow is slow, she would have had to sit on it - LOL!!!

Seriously, a "cup" or even a tampon would be far more partical to use.......oh wait, she has to show-off for everybody *rolls eyes*
