People unclear on the concept

I'm a long time member of Meetup. Use to belong to the Goth one until egos killed it. Recently joined the anime and manga (weather permitting, I'll be getting to see them on the 19th at Barnes & Noble).

Signed up to get emails about various local meetups/interests as they happen. Easier than having to hit the site all the time for what's new. Tonight I logged in to double check the manga meetup time and decided to take a closer look at some of the interests that were mentioned in the latest email.

From the local (Reno, NV) member list for Vampire: The Masquerade Meetups. Keep in mind that this meetup is for gamers. Has nothing to do with being a real vampire, is not a meeting for real vampires and that they have their own group.

it is true that I have been........a little too expressive. However I would implore you to reconsider. Really am I the only one guilty of expressing myself around here. I only open up into a insult war when I am repeatedly pushed to a point where I simply cannot ignore it. Truthfully I would prefer a intellegent argument to mud slinging. As you can see I have decided to continue with the scanning (for free I might add). Completing the scanning process will take much more than 48 hours, and be highly welcomed by some members. Lastly, I will be more cautious and careful in the future.

I'm maybe quiet, but I do check in daily and go thru threads. When something flares up, I've found it's far more effective to let members work things out amongst themselves. It's rare when I do have to step in to deal with a situation and it's done very quietly with the least amount of turmoil causing that's possible - like a thread freeze in one spot that can calm things down instead of deleting the whole thing and or the post which can throw fuel on the fire.

Enough of the Mod tangent, you got a second chance.
