It's currently 100 degrees outside and I'm sweating from sitting still.

I live in a dry heat area. With the low humidity, high 80s are comfortable and mid 90s even tolerable. When it starts inching up into high 90s, the simmering begins. 100s, slim chance of getting ANY rest without a fan running. Friday night was misery, I flipped around in bed until the wee hours in the morning when I broke down and turned the fan on (hate having a fan go during sleep time; don't like the noise, I worry about certain appliances operating unsupervised and indoor air conditioning is for wimps :p ).

Saturday night was ok. Tonight though, fan usage depends on whether or not the tepid wind blowing right now dissipates enough heat to cool things off.

Thank the Gods triple digits don't stick around here long.

Wow, that's rough. I hope you can get some sleep. It's 96 here and I have the fan on high. Fortunately I can sleep with it on, especially since about half the time I'm sleeping during the day.

You don't have A/C? Ouch!!!

Where I live, it always seems to be humid so A/C is a must.

I remember landing in Vegas and stepping out into the air a few years ago in July. I love the heat but the wind was blowing and it felt like a blow dryer...the heat was ok as long as the wind didn't blow. Here in NY, when it is hot and sticky, we pray for any breeze at all.

Best thing about Vegas? No mosquitoes!

I'm headed to Vegas in about a year for a Kiwanis convention.

100 degrees? I hope it gets cooler soon because that just sounds so bad. I'm one of those wimps. But, the humidity here is usually pretty high and with my allergies, I need to have the windows shut most of the time.

I would have to break down and run the air conditioner if it was me.
