Growing up, Hammer movies were pretty common on the tube (especially around Halloween). I knew, at a very young age, about Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. These two guys were and still are, FANTASTIC!!! They set the standard for Dracula and Van Helsing.

So it bugs me, that over the years, Hammer movies are getting less and less airplay. This Halloween, NO Hammer anything was played anywhere on TV. The two Top 10 Lists for vampire movies (with zip on the Hammer), sure didn't help any.

Cherry of disappoint on the top: Netflix didn't have any Hammer classics for streaming :(

I've been grumpier than hell about all this since Thursday. I'd still be grumpy about it now, but today got a major mood change thanks to "Guess who got knighted!!!"

The good news is that more and more of Hammer's movies are finally getting released on DVD, although it's been a long wait.

It's very very rare for a Hammer movie to show up on TV here as well.

We don't have television channels, but I was really disappointed at the poor selection of horror movies on Hulu Halloween night. 'Grats to Lee!

DVD saves us Hammer addicts!
And congrats to Sir Christopher!
