Lull in the snow fall, I go out to shovel the drive and walks. Dressed like a crazy slob (men's dark green/blue checked robe, too-big-for-me-cause-got-it-for-Dad mad bomber hat and dorky snow boots). About 9:30 PM on a Sunday night, nobody's out, all is peaceful and snow-covered - who's going to see me?

Busy shoveling the sidewalk, both inside garage light and outdoor motion-sensor are on - SUV drives by. Added bonus: it pulled into a house across the street a couple doors down from me.

I KNOW they saw me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the hat is ho-hum tan/brown with faux fur and sporting BIG Docker&Ross sale tags on the back of it. Nobody was out at the time; I didn't feel like taking the damn tags off, ok?

Oh wow. That totally sounds like me, except it doesn't snow here.

But I still remember wearing a nightgown and bathrobe and climbing up on the kitchen counter to get something out of a cabinet, then scratching my crotch (sorry...) and noticing at that exact second that the guy next door could see right into the kitchen window.

That's hilarious! Especially the motion sensor lights. Once I took the garbage out in my fairly ratty jammies, complete with bed head, (thinking I could be super quick) and a neighbor I hadn't met before came out from behind some trees, walking his dog. He wanted to have a nice loooong chat with me. Murphy's Law strikes again!

Maybe it was the local news camera crew in there.
