I'm a long time reader (since issue #9) of Fangoria.

When the latest issue comes, I flip thru it, then leave it sitting face-up on the coffee table for awhile.

For the first time ever, had to put a Fangoria face down because of the cover. Latest issue, 307, has two different covers: one with The Howling's Eddie' Quist in mid-transformation, the other is Alice Cooper. I got Alice in mail.

Sit on the couch; distracting "Cooper stare". Watching TV; distracting "Cooper stare". Walking around the living room, his eyes would follow my every single move down to the last detail.

Turn him upside down, then every which way; doesn't work. Face-down, he lost all power.

Now have the poster boy from Lucio Fulci's Zombie looking up at me from the back cover, but that's ok. Long dead conquistadors aren't fascinated by my day to day life :p

Funny thing, if it was a REAL pic of him, wouldn't have bothered me.

Fangoria's been on a "illustrated cover" kick, lately. Not a fan of the change because of cheesy quality of the artwork - looks like it's made by high schoolers of average talent doing copy work.

Well that's too bad. You can find better on deviantART any day of the week. :(

I wish they would find better artists or go back to using photo stills. The cover cheese works against them.

I love Fangoria, and I used to buy it, but it got stupid expensive here in NZ .. (last time I bought one it was $15) .. :(

I do like Alice .. I went to see the 'Welcome to my Nightmare' show in 1979 when I was 17, still one of the best stage shows ever. :)

Ahh, the 'joy' of imports. I heard Australian comic distributors have a mother of time getting manga. It's just easier for people there to cut out the middle man and order directly from Amazon.
