Halloween came and went. Kids hardly trick or treat around here, so off goes the porch light to keep the few determined (parents drive around looking for the decorated houses, then unleash the rugrats upon any found) away from my front door.

This year, I was nice and didn't turn off the motion senor light (stationed up over the garage door), too. No walking down a dark stretch of sidewalk past the already dark house.

In other news: I dug up Angelyne's A-MAZING performance in Earth Girls Are Easy. Her co-stars are (before they were household names) Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans playing a couple of aliens, who can pilot a spaceship, but are COMPLETELY CLUELESS when it comes to the lowly earth vehicle.

Glad your Halloween went well.

Last year I gave out candy, which went OK because the kids had manners and there weren't a ton of them. (Unlike when I was a kid, where the doorbell never stopped ringing...)

This year I was working the night before and the night after, so I just turned the porch light off and went to bed.

There's so much safe trick or treating (go to some event and load up on candy) now, there's no real reason to do the door-to-door anymore.

We have a lot of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood but it's fairly quiet and people are well-behaved. :)

There's lots kids around here: Got a grade school plus bus route in the area. But, I think the kids are too spread out over the neighborhood.

So despite having bunches of them around, it's not enough to justify handing out candy. Then on top of that, there's events here they can go to for safe trick or treating - can load up on candy in one spot.

We're lucky and have a bunch of kids in the neighborhood and neighbors who participate, so it's more like Halloween used to be when I was a kid and you just walked around your own block!

Also I forgot how awesome that movie was. Love Angelyne and I noticed her car wasn't scratched in the collision lol.
