Was out walking earlier in the neighborhood this evening, and saw a Xmas tree. House with big picture window with big lit up tree in it.

Some blocks later; big inflatable lawn decorations of Santa and a reindeer.

Lights strung up on houses and door wreaths in November, I'm fine those. The other stuff is just bad juju in my book. It doesn't look or feel right to have those out before Thanksgiving.

If you REALLY have to do it, wait at least until Friday. Let Thanksgiving have its countdown to Thursday - Mkay?

Oh Thanksgiving, that's just some silly little holiday everybody ignores because nobody profits except the grocers. :D

Had my tree up and ready, the lights in the windows up by November 1st :) Love it!

I also celebrate the hell out of Thanksgiving too, and enjoy my lights.

I say: as long as people aren't doing anything to harm me, harm my stuff, my house, each other, animals or kids--whatever makes 'em happy.

Lights and Christmas and Thanksgiving and tinsel make me happy. So yeah. Totally one of those people :p

I usually put the Christmas stuff up after Thanksgiving, but now we have some years where we do Christmas with my family on Thanksgiving, and I like to at least have a good week where I can look at prezzies all wrapped up under the tree, so in those years I put out the Christmas stuff the weekend before Thanksgiving. :D PREZZIES!! SHINY!!

One of the most sacrilegious things I've ever witnessed was when I went to the local shopping mall to buy a CD years ago and Christmas music was playing over the speakers...IT WAS HALLOWEEN.

Probably a little weird getting a comment from a complete stranger out of the blue, but elvenjewel2011 sent me (kind of) when I commented on how much I loved the mecha-unicorn she posted on her page. She told me you had her make a page header out of it for you and I had to come check out it out and investigate a person with the good taste to do that. A fellow gen-x'er, anime, horror, fantasy, great sense of humor...yeah, I'm adding you. I read over your profile and know you like to check things out before adding someone, so take your time and no pressure. I will warn you I'm a big nostalgic dork and a ridiculous music lover/enthusiast though. Anyway, here's to meeting cool new people. Cheers.
