Ho-hum, SUCH excitement.
Mar. 30th, 2003 05:32 pmIt was a nice weekend, I think, spent most of it asleep. Need to quit that now that the weather is getting so nice.
Have to major declare war on the weeds in the side yard - sprayed some of them last week, little if any effect and the stuff used was good quality brand name ("Roundup").......ggggggggrrrrrrrrrr........really hate using weed killer but the problem has gotten increasing bad since last year, pulling up the damn things doesn't seem to do much good in keeping them under control for the following year.
Want to see "Spirited Away" next weekend if it's still playing - knowing my luck it'll probably be pulled. Hollywood-made crap gets to stay in theaters forever and a day, meanwhile the good stuff gets maybe a week or two and gets the boot.
Need to order some books - my new favorite writer, Charlee Jacob has come out with a semi-sequel to "This Symbiotic Fascination" called "Haunter", am dying to get my hands on it, love this woman's writing!!! Oddly enough, both these books are about "otherkin" although they're NOT exactly "'kin-friendly" - it's the ugly side of 'kin. I highly doubt if Jacob even knows about otherkin, but read the books and you'll see why I think the creatures in them would be 'kin.
Also need to get Annie Sprinkle's bio which is back in print and the original Battle of the Planets comics from the early 80s have been gathered up and put into a graphic novel (YEAH!!!).
Boy, do I got great plans or what - LOL!!!

Date: Mar. 31st, 2003 09:27 pm (UTC)Much as I want to see "Spirited Away" it's being shown at a crappy theater. That and having to sit in a audience full of kids, may wait until it comes out on dvd.
If it was being shown at another theater here in town I'd put with the kids.

Date: Apr. 1st, 2003 01:11 am (UTC)Amazon UK, hmm... 2 weeks ago, when I was in London, I checked some DvDs there, but seems like it wasnt released yet. I was also searching for Zelda and Metroid Prime for Gamecube and I wasnt successful either. They have "multiple release" dates in Europe here, and I think its the same with DVDs... since we dont have NTSC *sigh*. And I dont pay that much for an anime to see it without any color... =_="
