234 Fangorias
Jun. 15th, 2004 01:49 amIn today's mail came #234 the 25th Anniversary Issue - can't believe I've been reading Fangoria pretty much since it came out back in 1979!!!
25 years and I got #1 all the way up to the current issue - WOW!!!
It was #9 that got me hooked, and oddly enough it's also the most sought after (NO, not parting with it so don't ask!!!) - got Farmer Vincent ("Motel Hell") wearing a full-head pig mask and weilding a bloody chainsaw on the cover. Although the movie was so-so, I can't help but get warm fuzzys when thinking about Vincent because the importance of that issue, the one that got me started and still reading all these years.
Of the "Top 25 Fright Flicks", I've seen most of them -
Dawn of the Dead
Friday the 13th
An American Werewolf in London
The Thing
Evil Dead
Nightmare on Elm Street
Re-Animator
The Fly
Hellraiser
The Vanishing
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer
Jacob's Ladder
Silence of the Lambs
Dead Alive
Cronos
The Crow
Seven
Crash
Ringu
Blair Witch Project
American Pyscho
Ginger Snaps
Going to end this post with yet another "WOW!!!"
