Jun. 29th, 2003 10:04 pmLet see things that have happened recently -
Last week got Northern NV go hit by a surprise storm which included nasty hail. The damn fire alarm went off at work and we had to go out in it!!!! Hail hurts when it hits bare skin - luckly we were outside for all of 2 minutes, 2 very long minutes, before we got waved back indoors - the breakroom floor was covered in puddles from us dripping.
My birthday is this Friday and so had to order myself some presents from Amazon, seem to have a strong need for Japanese stuff -
"Ring" - Koji Suzuki
"Battle Royale" - Koushun Takami
"Ultra Gash Inferno" - Suehiro Maruo
That last one is a adult manga - I'm not at all shocked by any of what's in there. The only things that barely raised a brow were how much eyeball licking and scat were in it. Didn't think the Japanese were into that stuff - but hey who really knows - LOL!!!
Also got a dvd of "Spirited Away" - wanted to get "Junk", a live action movie about flesh eating zombies (curious to see how the Japanese rate against the Italians in this subject) but it would have taken a few weeks to arrive and I wanted everything in time for my birthday.
Sent off a letter to Kitsune on Tuesday, he's got until July 4th, my birthday, to keep me in his Life - got the feeling I won't hear anything back from him so come the 5th I'll probably be "fox-free". Didn't want it to come to this but I'm tired of being in a painful limbo - if he can't be bothered to listen and or take me seriously why should I stay in his Life? It's been 2 years and I'm, after trying several times before, finally leaving unless he stops me which more than likely isn't going to happen - so no happy ending - oh well, this is Reality not some damn Hollywood movie.

Date: Jun. 30th, 2003 08:51 pm (UTC)OK, back on track here - I was always on the lookout for anything Japanese cartoonwise on TV and of course there was the live action kiddie stuff like the various "men in rubber monster suits" - do believe I've seen all the original "Ultraman" and "Johnny Sokko and his Giant Flying Robot" shows - also had a thing for American horror movies and it was while at a grammar school age that I found at the local library a book on horror movies and one of the things listed in it was a early Japanese horror movie called "Onibaba (1964)" and the still from the it of the old woman wearing the cursed demon mask stuck with me thru the years. Already knew that Japanese went way beyond American cartoons so their live-action stuff (rubber monster suits aside) was probably something to see if I could ever find anything.
Well I did, mostly in reading about them in various horror movie books and Fangoria - it's only in the last few years that some of the classic Japanese horror (like "Blind Beast (1969)") is finally availible again thanx to the growing interest in the current Japanese horror along with anime.
So sorry, I owe my interests in various things Japanese to the boob-tube - but I can pretend that you're responsible for my being introduced to "Sewer Boy" from the before mentioned manga - LOL!!! Speaking of which, I prefer blue - LOL, now you'll have to get a copy of "Ultra-Gash Inferno" to find out what my esotric joke is - hehehe!!!
Have you checked your PO box lately? Also found something of interest online - http://www.battleroyalefilm.net/ - turns out the film isn't banned here but the director of BR is supposedly being difficult.

Re: japanese fetish
Date: Jun. 30th, 2003 09:00 pm (UTC)Must be loads of fun over there - vending machines where you can buy used panties, videos of women who were filmed without their knowledge (the guys would follow them around secretly fliming their everyday activites), groping on the subways, seeing comics of girls "ballooned" - this were they have hoses in every orrifice and pumped full of liquid, mass cuming into a jug and pouring it into a girl's face, artistic bondage, shaving girls' privates, amputee sex, necrophillia, cannibalism, etc.,.
(Zimon seriously considers moving to Japan - LOL!!!)
