Something written for a rpg
Mar. 19th, 2006 10:55 pmWalking thru a small park, I pondered over my decision....to be a willing part of what could very well be an ugly spilling of supernatural blood. The normal everyday folk probably wouldn't be affected, probably wouldn't even know creatures were dropping left and right.
The sound of nearby church bells broke my thoughts. Never thought about what or how vampires worshiped. There were a few stories about Jesus being a vampire, but that seemed stuff of Modern Goth mentality.
Satan? Oh please, many vampires only walked in the dark. Any Satan worshipers I knew of were kids and foolish young vampires trying to be spooky. Pagan and other Old Gods before Christianity? Hmm, now there were some possibilities, but which ones.
The best choice would be wellknown, connected to vampires, and not 100% evil....Lilith.
I shivered, why did that name suddenlly jumped into my head? Not that it, she was a bad choice, perfect as a matter of fact. Adam's first wife, who got casted out of Eden solely because she wanted to be treated as an equal. From there, depending on what stories you heard she was evil, misunderstood, type of Earth Goddess, All women, Mother, Mistress, and so on.
One thing that stayed fairly constant in various of the stories, she was female, she was a mother, and she was a vampire.
"Sorry All Mother", I whispered softly feeling a little silly for praying to someone I wasn't sure about what their exact God status was or if vampires even had an official Higher Being, "But I needed somebody to help me for a long time, and he's the only one that answered."
Now I felt really silly. Why was I acting like this?
Shook it off, pushed what remained far back into my mind and continued on my way.
