The real kicker? Protesting sites have explanations posted. A quick Google (which works just fine) brings up how to get around Wikipedia's blackout (super easy). It's not frickin rocket science, but try telling that to the "shallow end of the pool".

I've seen similar messages in a certain *ahem* adult forum I frequent. As protest against SOPA the mods had put spoiler tags on the whole site (you could still read the comments, but you had to highlight them), and some people were utterly confused and were asking for support ^^
