Wind storm royally screwed with the cable (TV only; use another completely unrelated service for the computer, thank the gods) yesterday. Pretty much still on the fritz today. By something short of a miracle, Cartoon Network (and a few other channels) are coming thru on the secondary TV, which doesn't have the digital box (it's legally spliced into the cable line). Main TV has box, and I can't get squat beyond a static Channel 3 or a time other than "12:00" - NOT HAPPY.

Called in a service disruption this morning. Outrage around the area blah, blah, blah. Since then, cable has shown no signs of improvement - REALLY NOT HAPPY

Jury summons came in the mail today - REALLY VERY NOT HAPPY.



I'm due for a proper post. For reasons above and a few not mentioned, kind of not in the mood right now. So here, have silly site: Batman Running Away From Shit

That's a lot time for your cable to be out, even due to a windstorm. I hope they fix it soon.

The box is getting a signal, just nothing beyond that. The problem is with the cable line itself. Somewhere, something "broke".

It's weird the local channels (on the secondary TV) are coming in fuzzy, but the some of cable ones are almost perfect. I'm watching/waiting for the moment the picture is coming 100% fuzz free; that's the sign to switchback to the main TV.

In the meantime, at least I got some TV to watch.

Keep checking the box for a time change, too. If the clock's working again, so is everything else.

Well, THAT'S freaking annoying. Since cable is buried, I wouldn't expect it to be affected by a windstorm. :(
