I've watched a lot of vampire movies over the years. Some are good, some are bad, but none were a total snooze fest. Dull as dirt title character in PBS broadcast of Count Dracula kind of came close for me. He sucked and not in a good way, but everybody else in it was good (especially the Brides) and that saved the show.

Last night, Lust for a Vampire took the ZZZZZ crown. 90 minutes went on FOREVER!!! I kept nodding off about half way thru it. Towards the end, three times I put the dvd in reverse to see what I missed, only to nod off again.

The worst part: Made by Hammer Film Productions. They're a big part of both film and horror history. They made Christoper Lee and Peter Cushing household names. They've made a lot of great vampire movies. Made some bad ones (looking at you, Dracula A.D. 1972). Never made a total snooze...oh, wait.

One thing you don't expect from a Hammer film is boredom, but that one does sound a bit rubbish :(

Unfortunately those old Hammer films haven't aged well .. I remember seeing Lust for a Vampire when I was about 12 (late on TV on a Sunday night) and thought it was FANTASTIC ..
Then I saw it again a couple of years ago, and thought the same thing you did!

Apparently even great film companies have bad days. :)
