Northern NV flora ignoring autumn got a rude wake-up call from Mother Nature about seasonal change. She did a temperature drop with snow. Just a light dusting, but that sends out a message: "Get to dropping your leaves, NOW!!!"

By the end of this week, it should look like a proper Fall around here.

It's nice to get that much. Most things here just kind of turn brown and dead, and sometimes it takes until the end of January. About the only things that do change nicely are liquidambars and ginkos and that seems to happen around the holidays.

The area of South Bay I lived in seemed to do ok autumn-wise. Maybe cause it had a lot of liquid ambers?
