Yan Valentine

It's his fault why I haven't update the last few days and need to post a funny story about what happened when I went to ShopKo (something like a Kmart) last week.......more about that sometime over the weekend.

Back to Yan - ever since discovering the joy that is "Hellsing" I had to go searching around for ANYTHING on my favorite character (that would be Yan if you're weren't paying attention - LOL!!!). I went and did a new icon last night of him - can everybody (i.e. my LJ Friends) read the text OK? First time I ever did text on a pic, took about a bloody hour but it was worth it. From what I've seen in hellsing and eternal_alucard looks like I'm so far the only one who's using a Yan Valentine icon.

Did find the "adopt a Hellsing character" site, it was bookmarked (somewhere, can't find the damn thing right now because I don't remember the site name). Decided against adopting since 1)don't have anyway of uploading it for display on my LJ User Info Page, 2)those unfamilar with "sprites" might think it was an ugly cyber garden gnome, and 3)really small so not easy for some to see details.

I'll post the link when I find it so you can see the little buggers.

He would make a nice stuffed toy, he's got the right look for it - if I find where that sprite link is on my Favorites List, that would give you a very good idea how he'd look toy-wise.

Yes, there should have been more of him - the last 15 minutes of Hellsing was the episode he was in and died. He could be brought back - who knows, Yan does make an impression since he isn't "typical acting/looking vampire". Plus the poor guy has some name problems - Yan/Jan/and *Jane????!!!! Not joking about that last one, the site I got the pic to use for a LJ icon has the info -

*Reminds me of badass punker "Vyvyan" on "The Young Ones" - Rick (likes to think he's such an anarchist - calls himself "People's Poet") would tease Vyv about his name - "Why'd your mom name you after a girl?" and wind-up getting his smart ass royally kicked by Vyvyan.
