Hope everybody had a nice New Year. I crashed out on New Year's Eve at 9PM, seriously 9frickinPM! One minute I'm awake on the couch watching South Park (first episode of the Coon trilogy), then the next it's morning 2015.

Some of my resolutions for this year are repeated from last year's. The main one is getting enough sleep. Don't suffer from insomnia, but frequently not tired when I'm suppose to be and so go to bed late. Or, I'm overly tired and go to bed late. Either way, it's problematic but fixable. Just got to buckle down with a regular sleep schedule. Be nice to spend time doing something productive and not semi-zonked and mass watching reruns of whatever on TV over the weekend.

Second resolution: Regular exercise. Another side-effect of improper sleep, not exercising enough.
Third resolution: Updating more here. Yet another side-effect of you-know-what.
Fourth resolution: Get another Kindle so I can dig into the ebook mountain at work instead of just at home.
Fifth resolution: New car! Got the money and good credit to retire my 20 year old Geo - yes, I've it had for that long. Bought brand spanking new back in 1994. Been pretty reliable, but the last couple years there's just too many repairs, a credit card balance that's refusing to be reduced, and continuing engine light torment. Holding out for Spring because not crazy about buying a car during Winter (low temps and snow occur here).

Ok, enough updating. New Bob's Burgers is coming on!

Wow, that's a long time to keep a car! Good on you! I'm always amazed when people jump to a new car as soon as they have the old one paid off, but I've definitely never come close to keeping a car for 20 years.

Ok, I did some math. I've been driving for 19 years. I've had six cars, four of which I owned in a single year (mitigating circumstances: two transpacific moves and a car theft). Add in the three cars I've bought with/for my husband (mitigating circumstances: one totaled and another car theft), I've gone through the car-buying process an average of more than once every two years since the age of sixteen, and I've never had a new car.

Whatever you're doing in your life, keep doing it. I am clearly not living right.

I am with you on the sleep thing! I am still struggling to get my sleep schedule back on track.

I think I'd like a car that was built in the 2000's.

How does insomnia keep you from updating? I would have thought that one'd update more often if one couldn't sleep :P

I'm in awe of you that you kept the same car for 20 years! I've never had a new one so I can't really expect any of mine to have lasted me that long, but still, I'm in awe! What do you think you'll look at getting come spring?

Yeah, I drove a Honda Passport for a long time - super-gas guzzler! I have to have an AWD where I live, especially with my commute every day, so I don't have a lot of choice but my Murano does really well for me :)

Corolla's are awesome cars!! I hope that works out for you! :D

I don't think I've ever had a car that old ... and I definitely never had one for that many years!
