Can't believe how nice the weather's been and still is. Extreme temps haven't happened since my B-day (July 4th), and no I didn't make a wish for it. El Nino's doing things with summer storms and that's kept the temps down. Flash floods and sudden intense downpours aren't a whole lot of fun, but if it makes mid-summer feel like late spring/early summer, I'll take the clouds' cooling effect.

So NICE being able to sleep in comfort at this time of year.

It has been a weird summer, we get downpours every afternoon. Having one now. So strange to see a green lawn in July.

Weird indeed. Summer storms here usually aren't useful.

Normally I hate them because they usually only add humidity to the heat and produce little rain. But these are doing the opposite.

Yes, the cool air has been a nice relief at night. WE haven't used the AC in our bedroom all summer, and I've really appreciated THAT.

This has been a good summer for sleeping, I think. It's almost over and we have to install our air conditioner. That's good, because I think an AC makes it way too cold.
