Why is it so easy to stay awake while waiting for a show to come on, but then go the opposite when it does air??? TWICE I zonked off right before the new South Park episode. Third time's the charm, I caught it.

Comedy Central (and you too, Disney XD), the other channels put their stuff up on the free On Demand within 12-48 hours after airing. You, CC, sit on the latest episode for a week (D XD will take even longer). This serves no purpose except to make you extremely annoying. Now how's about a faster turn around so I can watch when not suffering the nods.

I have the same problem! I wait all evening for a show to come on and just before it starts, I nod off. :/

Think it has to do with the anticipation. Build up keeps you alert. But the closer the goal, it tapers off cause you know the payoff is soon to be had.

Or, TV is sentient (Hello, Twonky) and screws with us (projects subliminal "You are getting sleepy...")
