Recently watched The Man Who Fell From Earth, because Bowie.

Turns out Bowie IS the only reason to watch that gawd awful movie. First acting role and he did a way better job than his seasoned co-stars.

I've seen Performance, Walkabout, Don't Look Now, and The Witches, didn't feel like turning the channel at some point on those.

I've not seen the film but I have just finished reading the book. The book is so sad that I don't think i'll watch the movie.

Most of the scenes minus Bowie, I found dull.

May give the book a shot. Some of the reviewers on Amazon (for the movie) had read the book first, and found the movie didn't do it justice.

How is it watching for seventies nostalgia?

Not half bad. Kinda funny seeing the record store and customers milling around in it, and remembering how they use to be on almost every corner and popular.
