None of the above happened to me. It's the title of Carlton Mellick III's latest book. Was over at The Horror Fiction Review, saw that title, thought it hysterically funny, had to use as a subject header.

I've know about the guy and his works for a decade plus, BUT only have read one book (Village of the Mermaids). After seeing several synopsis over the years, something about this one's crazy plot and having to do with mermaids (who, although being a very well known mythical creature, don't get to be the main subject matter all that often), kinda appealed to me. So, got the book, and enjoyed it! Been wanting to read more of Carlton Mellick III fun weirdness ever since. Decided on getting the deadtree versions because 1) only a few of his titles are available in ebook, and 2) look so freakin cool on my shelf.

Going take me awhile. He currently has at least 40 books under his belt.

Thanks for the heads up! That does sound interesting. Though, I think I'll check out the mermaid one first. Lately, I've been wondering why I don't write more about mermaids.
