I miss the Nigerian Prince

His spam emails were always upbeat and friendly. He NEVER got pushy when asking for money. Dude was big on manners.

Nowadays, spammers all got an attitude. My latest, "Got You", is one demanding little asshole. In 48 hours, they have sent 13 emails. Here are the Subject headers:

Safe your life
Read
You got hacked
Take care
Stop watching porn
Read carefully
Pervert
Better pay me
Don't wait too long
I know your password
Video of you
I know your password
Your privacy

The current scam is "Recorded you watching and whacking off to a online porn video. Will send to everyone in your contact list. Pay me in bitcoins or else". I've gotten this silly blackmail email from other spammers, but never in a batch from a single source. Got to admit, it's nice change from the Viagra ads.

FYI: Few spams actually makes it into my inbox. My email service is vigilant, sometimes gets a little overzealous and will put emails that aren't spam into the spam folder, which I have to look thru before anything gets deleted.

Good question. Who visits actual porn sites anymore? Porn spam bots are everywhere though - maybe that's the intended target?
