The Gargoyle Gang I like is NOT the one in Riverdale!

None too happy when a recent Google on The Gargoyle Gang's monsters' names (Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot) brought up some motherfukin imposters. Emperor Guillotine would order an attack, but looks like somebody took care of them already? Riverdale wiki is not an easy read. Story lines are very convoluted. The actors probably struggle half the time with the scripts. Whatever.

In other news: Three day weekend (Memorial Day observance) is glorious! Wish it was a regular thing, but this being 'Murica, would still have to do 40 hour work week. Who knows, if whole Health Care jazz ever gets a full overhauled, middleman insurance kicked to the curb, a 32 hour work week (and with an actual living wage too) could be possible? Pie in the sky dreams.

Saw the trailer for the rebooted Child's Play - looks really bad. Hollywood refuses to learn that the majority of remakes are pointless and will flop at the box office. China being so royally ticked off right now at the US, no way is Hollywood gonna play that HUGE overseas card and recoup the money loss. Their government blocked the last episode of Game of Thrones from airing, no way in hell are newly released American made movies going to be exempt.

To end on a positive note: The weather here has been unseasonably cool and damp, up at the pass it's snowy - LOVE IT!!! So nice not having heat and dust this time of year. Wish it would stay like this year round, and any snow and cold all stays up at Tahoe.

Dunno about Candyman. Peele will be careful with it. BUT, (like Robert Englund as Freddy) Tony Todd is so iconic in the role. How to pull it off without him in the lead - good luck with that.

It was a nice weekend here too and I'm with you on the health care thing. Having the ideal format would help so much with the whole work-life balance thing.

China's become a big part of the problem. Hollywood easily makes a fortune several times over there. I believe that's the main reason why Ghostbusters was a reboot instead of a continuation ("Fuck the Western audience!") HAHAHA, China rejected it cause of the ghosts!

I honestly don't even know what the hell is going on with Riverdale but it's like the biggest crack!fic mess I've ever seen in my life. I'm not familiar with the comics, but holy crap, this is wild! I'm not even into season 3 yet.

WHAT DA FU..., it's not even that old! I get having to do recasts cause some of the actors are long in tooth. And like in the comics, characters are always changed at some point and or brought back but different/updated/re-aged/tweaked/etc.,. If left untouched since his first comic appearance, Peter Parker would be almost 60 now.

Reboot? Maybe a decade or two down the line, but not now or within the next few years - that's just insulting to everybody.

Thank the gods for Netflix! They get it - don't do a remake unless brings something different to the table and it's got to have heart too. I REALLY enjoyed their take on She-Ra. Have yet to watch The Haunting, but lot of people liked it.

The upcoming prequel series to The Dark Crystal, if that trailer is anything to go by, Netflix did good! Jim would be proud.
