As usual, I get a chunk of free time (3 day weekend cause of Labor Day) and plan to get stuff done, then go the lazy route for the most part. Oh, well.

Binged watch The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance on Saturday. Around Episode 8, things were getting mighty intense. The whole climate change and current administration (Annoying Orange&Co really are a bunch of Skeksis) plus the Amazon going up in flames, it was getting to me (teary-eyed). Looked at my Fire Kindle for a mini break and another shooting...great.

Quit the electronics, went outside did some beautifying work in the front yard for a few hours and forgot the world for awhile. Later finished the last two episodes in a better frame of mind.

It's a fantastic and thought provoking series. Yes, won't end happy. But the movie does. Want to say I got hope for the future and real positive change will happen after 2020 election, but it flip flops.


Ok, something positive: Dragon Goes House Hunting is a fun manga. You want happy in your life? Go check this series out.

I know what you mean; all that shit has been getting to me, too.

Between the new Dark Crystal Netflix series and the videogame in the works, I'm tempted to finally watch the original movie. I loved the Muppets growing up and would have wanted to watch Dark Crystal had I known it was Jim Henson at the time but I didn't and the box for the movie always turned me off to it for some reason.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't heard of Dragon Goes House Hunting and it does look really amusing.

They did a decent job matching the series to the movie. The series Geflings are a little more expressive with the ear twitching. Skeksis; more detailed and colorful, But in their case, would have faded overtime to how they look in the movie.

The second volume is the best! There's a bunch of other mythical creatures he meets up with.

I'll probably only watch Dark Crystal after I come back from my holiday - don't think I can make it until Saturday (other stuff to watch) and I don't want to have a break in between.
I finished binging Mindhunter yesterday, though.
