So damn nice weather-wise today. So much more greenery present. Wish Spring was hell of a lot longer here. Better yet, Northern NV Winter not so bloody dark, dreary, and c-o-l-d. I really miss Southern CA weather-wise

Wondering, if the Daylight Saving change becomes permanent (PLEASE!!!), what effect it will have? Will Winter be more tolerable or same shit? In March, fed-up with feeling a bit gloomy during the "dark months" and craving sunlight, started taking a daily 1000 vitamin D. I think it helps.

Supposedly, won't really get actual results until after four months. So maybe I'm placebo-ing myself a little here? Definitely feel better with natural lightening coming into rooms, instead of turning on a lamp.

Wasn't always this way. I use to be a "creature of the night". But Southern CA Winter doesn't get seasonal change - rarely cold and definitely no ice or snow. The weather is pretty nice year round. So much sun, nice having a break from it. Most of the plant life stays green year round, not all trees drop their leaves, usually comfortably cool and even warm sometimes, and the area is well lit at night. Time change there weren't jarring, just little annoying.

So 1000 vitamin D = bearable future Winters here? What about mornings being dark until 9am? Or daylight well past 4pm? I have NO frame of reference for this.

Well, got a few months to not dwell on this right now.

Even my old Goth heart loves spring and the sun being out.
Ask me again in a few weeks ... ;-)

May is the best month here I think. It will be over so quickly.
Unlike January. Or February.

Try the Central Valley. We have all four distinct seasons (sans snow and ice).

It can get hot, but winter lasts about three weeks (or what I would call winter). We only get a frost once or twice a season, but the summers can be brutal. You have to like really hot weather to live here. Not too much humidity, though, and that helps.

I'm not sure I'd want daylight saving on forever. Why don't you see your gp and make a bloodest? Mine told me I have a vit D underfunction so I have to take pills, I told mine how much I already had at home and he said once a week is more than enough, you can over dose on that, so I'd rather be careful.
