"No Soliciting. Seriously! Don't Ring Bell. Don't Knock. Don't Make it Weird"

Another voting season is upon the US. I, like many, are already royally fed-up with the constant political advertising everywhere. Last week, had enough of ringing doorbell disturbing my weekend. Ordered this, hung it up by the front door between porch-light and doorbell. also got a sticker and taped it up inside the glass storm door right at eye level.

So far, they're working.

Don't care if flyers are left anywhere. Takes all of two seconds to remove them and toss into the recycle bin. Want I don't want is doorbell sounding off out of the unexpected blue making me jump 10 feet in the air off the couch while watching TV in the living room. Or worse, the persistent pest who doesn't get the subtle hint with the slegdehammer (not answering the door means GO AWAY) has to ring again and or knock, resulting in me screaming on the other side of a still closed door "NOT INTERESTED!!!"

Went out of my way to find the right sign to get the message across. It's a far nicer way of handling this situation. Nobody gets their feeling hurt. They get to quietly turn around and go back/leave their stuff at the door. I'm left in peace. Win/Win for everybody - right?

they're not allowed to knock on doors to solicit in my bldg (one reason I live there) but I get a lot of annoying phone calls from people who don't speak English very well.

I had no idea this was still a thing, here we don't get that.. or maybe I don't because I'm hardly ever home? Mhmm... but yeah, as long as it works, this is just so annoying and honestly you know who you vote or, right?

We used to have a funny sign on the door about no soliciting but it fell apart a few years ago.
I think I'll have to find a new one!

I figure about the only time it's appropriate for ME to preach my religion to someone is when they knock on my door to talk about God. I love the Jehovah's Witnesses! :D
