Happy After Xmas!

Been working 10 hour days. Spent most of the three day off holiday in a semi-junkfood coma. Was fully coherent on the Xmas Eve, spent with parents, sister and BIL. We played Monopoly, and I discovered something about that game: when five people buy bits of property, once it's bought up, all you do is go around in circles exchanging money. No one was able to set up houses/hotels because no one had the full properties. No one went broke. We should have played deluxe Clue (although not a fan of this version, because of the extra rooms), far more challenging with an end in sight.

Funny thing. Watched Glass Onion (Netflix). Very good, and there's a repeated reference to Clue in it. Just found that amusing as hell.

The weather has been so nice! 50 degree range! No freezing cold, no snow, no ice! It's almost 6pm and got the back door open right now. Unfortunately, won't last, going to get windy tomorrow and then rain, maybe lots of it. I usually like rain, but at this time of year, can't enjoy it due to the possibility of it turning to snow. Unlike the rest of the US, not suffering thru a nasty deep freeze, so I shouldn't complain.

I used to play Clue a lot when I was a kid but I haven't recently. Haven't played Monopoly since the 00s, L and I used to play it.

That's because you have to negotiate trades. You can't successfully play Monopoly for the reason that you stated, unless you trade with other players.
