Everything was ok on my B-day (also America's B-day). Didn't hear a single firework in my area, which is wonderful.

Then the World got weird.

Started with Neil Gaiman getting "MeTooed". I will always love The Sandman, but Gaiman is now dead to me.

Several well known celebrities died.

That whole shooting Trump jazz.

Now a Black/South Asian woman is about to be (maybe) the official US Presidential candidate. I hope she is, because the US is sorely in need of change and annoying orange can't be allowed anywhere near the White House again.

Only going to get weirder from here on out.

I haven't even heard about the Neil Gaiman thing. But read an interesting article just now that included similar news about David Bowie and Marion Zimmer Bradley.
The main point of the article being that we need to stop putting people on pedestals and glorifying them.
Yes to that.

The Neil Gaiman thing is kind of wrecking me a bit. The situation is just weird.
