I CAN'T figure this out - when I scan a 8x10 doujinshi page, the image comes out HUGE!!! Have No idea how to fix this via the scanner, damn instructions won't tell me that bit of needed info.

Now, this wouldn't be a problem if I use Paint Shop Pro to resample but it won't open scans that big.

Paint and Imaging both will open the scan, and both say they can resample BUT the directions given are so sparse that they are USELESS!!!

So the alternatives are -

1) do copies but the image looses its soul

2) scan sections of a image and make mincemeal out of it

*grumble*

Ouch...my scanner gives me bigger size images too. (I do think it's normal, though, particularly as, say, when asked to prove that one said image is your work you are required to bring the first scan)

I usually just resize them adobe photoshop - only decent thing the monster'll do.

I... HAVE NO SUGGESTIONS! Did you check the DPI? Maybe you can adjust the DPI to a lower resolution, and it will fix that?

They always enlarge it.

Smalling it doesn't lose a whole lot of image quality on doujin.

I'm not sure if lowering the dpi would make the picture smaller or fuzzier, but it's worth a shot.

when I scan it has a little percentage section so I lower the percentage. That shrinks the image

Mm..shrinking the dpi a little should be ok. If not, do a search for a program called IrfanView. It's fairly useless as I can now do anything it can do in Photoshop, but I still use it's resizer for my comics. So that might work better than PSP
