Thanx to MotherNature..........

I'm online at a late hour because am snowed-in (actually iced-in) so once again can't go to work. It's just way too dangerous to drive on the street with a passenger car and the damn temperature hasn't been 35 or higher so not melting off.
So much snow got dumped onto Northern NV and the Sierra on Thursday (followed by more late Friday early Saturday - it's a wonder Reno's New Year's fireworks downtown were able to go off in such heavy fall, I was watching it on TV) that's it's being refered to storm-wise as "the biggest in the past 15 years".
To give you an idea just how much - I'm 5'8" and the snow comes up way over my knees. Ginger (aussie) would be over her head and I had to clear a little area on the deck near the backdoor for her to do "dog business".
The plow did come thru but didn't do much good - there's just too much snow everywhere and what got packed down in the cleared strip in the street makes for a long toboggan run. I can't shovel the walkways because there's too much snow and nowhere to really put it. Shoveling the driveway and making a little path to the mailbox for the mailman was hard enough to do.
It looks like the frickin' North Pole here!!!
Supposedly, it might be 36 today and tomorrow maybe 40, so hopefully I can go to work because I'm getting sick of feeling like I'm under house arrest.
Usually, the snow doesn't get bad here.
I'm VERY lucky to have made it home Thrusday from work. A drive that usually takes 20 minutes was over a hour, went thru a "white-out" before coming to my exit, almost got stuck a couple of time on my street.
